It is a new year, new month, new week and it’s up to you to make it your best year yet. You don’t need it to be the first day of the year or even the beginning of the month for you to start living the life you want. Start getting motivated to make a change today and watch your future change with you! You are in charge of your life and it’s up to you to start working towards that goal starting today.

3 Tips for Living Your Best Year Yet:

1. Write down your goals.

Think about what you want out of your new year. Take time out of your day to write down your goals for the week, month, and year. Having it on paper in front of you helps to hold you accountable and is a daily reminder of what you want to accomplish. Hang it somewhere proudly and never let these goals be out of mind. You can and will accomplish these goals so don’t forget it!

2. Figure out what motivates you.

Think about what motivates you. Are you choosing these goals to make more money? Become healthier? Create a better lifestyle for yourself? Whatever the reason, use this to push yourself.

We all have times where we feel defeated, push through these times with the bigger picture in mind. You are strong and will be able to reach your goals. Write down what motivates you and look back on it whenever you need a little push to see the bigger picture, a.k.a. your future.

3. Make a timeline for how you are going to get there.

You’ve done all the thought out work, now it’s time to determine how you’re going to get there. First write down the goal you want to accomplish and make a timeline for how to get there. Write out daily, weekly, and monthly steps that are realistic and attainable. Not everyone is going to get to the finish line at the same time and that’s okay.

If you are struggling to meet each goal, separate them into smaller steps. If you are completing a month's worth of steps in 2 weeks, adjust your plan to the pace you are going. Continue to modify your plan as you go so it works best for you. Remember, not everyone follows the same path and that’s what makes us unique and human.

Make the plan right for you, just make sure you have a plan and that you are sticking with it. You already did the most important part and that’s having a goal. Now it’s up to you to make it happen!
